FCA At The Venue in Forney

 

It was cool to be with the FCA huddle at Forney High School as they held their huddle meeting at The Venue in Forney.  Thanks to Coach Sandy Cook and her students who are doing an incredible job every week.  Thanks to Staci and her staff at The Venue for providing breakfast and hosting this event.

FCA: Bringing Cedar Hill & Duncanville Together

In sports, I’ve learned that rivalries are huge.  But sometimes, they outweigh the spirit of competition and sportsmanship.  This year, the football teams of Cedar Hill and Duncanville displayed honor and integrity as they came together at the conclusion of their game for prayer.  A player from each team lead a prayer over the other’s team and community.  I had the opportunity to be a part of what was called “The FCA Classic”.  While a game was played, it was an incredible display of what FCA represents and desires to see in the world of school sports.
